Why You Bite Your Nails

causes of biting fingernailsThere is one single, primary reason that you bite your nails. It is so simple you might disagree with me, but it is the truth. It is because you want to! Sure it may be embarrassing, painful and you want to stop it permanently. Consciously you may want to stop it, however in your subconscious mind there is a secondary gain that you experience when you bite you nails.

Deep within your subconscious mind, nail biting is rather enjoyable. The reasons are usually more simple then you would expect. Perhaps you enjoy it because you never have to worry about breaking a nail, or maybe you enjoy it when you are bored and there isn’t any food available. Who knows, maybe you even do it to save money on nail polish, nail clippers or manicures. Although its impossible for me to know exactly why you bite your nails, I can say with absolute certainty that if you are biting them, there is a reason.

nails biteOn a fundamental level, your mind is always working to help you avoid physical and emotional pain. At the same time it is directing you to find and gain pleasure. There is a very high probability that you continue to bite your nails out of a need to avoid some sort of pain. All you need to do is find the unconscious reason that you bite your nails and begin immediately to associate a massive amount of pain to the habit. Once you reach a point where biting your nails is more painful then not biting them, you will end the habit for good. The best part, is that this process can take less then ten minutes.

Once you understand this simple concept and begin to use it, you will find that it is easier then ever to stop nail biting. This was my experience since I had already bought and tested every single nail biting cure I could get my hands on. This is why I have decided to uncover the shortcuts of how to stop nail biting permanently and forever.

Once you have practiced this technique a few times it will be just like riding a bicycle. You won’t have to think about biting your nails, you will just forget to. That’s because it becomes a conditioned process in your body and nervous system. In fact, after some time, trying to bite your nails, will be like trying to forget how to ride a bicycle. You won’t be able to do it!
